After a decade of recruiting across various sectors, we identified a clear need in the wealth management space: boutique firms were struggling to find individuals who not only possessed the right skills but also aligned with their values, culture, and long-term vision. Waves was launched to meet that need. Josh Walker is the founder of Waves Advisory Group, a recruiting firm dedicated to helping boutique wealth management firms build high-performing, values-aligned teams. With over a decade of recruiting experience, he brings a personal, relationship-driven approach to every search, focusing on cultural fit, long-term impact, and strategic growth. Josh is based on the Gulf Coast of Florida, where he lives with his wife and daughters. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, participating in anything competitive, being outdoors, and serving at his local church.
Conner Byrne is a results-driven Recruiting Advisor with a strong background in finance and strategic sales. A former Division 1 lacrosse captain, he brings a competitive edge, leadership mindset, and disciplined work ethic to every client interaction. Conner has led large-scale merchant acquisition initiatives, negotiated high-value contracts, and consistently driven revenue growth through relationship-building and strategic outreach.
